THE STORY OF HANOI ROCKS

Written by Petri Pakkanen
Translated by Hannu Hakonen

PART ONE, 1979-1981
PART TWO, 1982
PART THREE, 1983
PART FOUR, 1984
PART FIVE, 1985
PART SIX, THE AFTERMATH

THE STORY OF HANOI ROCKS series is based on hundreds of newspaper, radio, TV and Internet articles and interviews and also books related to the band. Though we haven't mentioned any sources, they still do exist. How correct those opinions are or how correctly interviewers have quoted the people they've interviewed is naturally out of our hands and therefore unconfirmed. That's why we wish that those who have any kind of opinion or better knowledge about the issues we deal within this history would contact the maintainer of this website. Here is a list of some sources we have used: Yleisradio, MTV3, STT, Soundi, Rumba, Suosikki, Ok, Okej!, Seura, Ilta-Sanomat, Iltalehti, City, Helsingin Sanomat, Seura, Apu, 7 Päivää, Se, Rare, Record Collector, Sounds, Music Maker, Scandal, NME and MusicTelevision.

The Story of Hanoi Rocks ends to the point when the band broke up in 1985. If you want to see what is going on with the "re-born" Hanoi Rocks, we suggest you visit their website at www.hanoirocks.info
